From his first role as project manager in the department of R&D at Berclain Group fourteen years ago to product manager (Talia) at Pyxis, André has always been passionate about innovation regarding technologies, products, and software development practices. Anne-Laure is a graduate in methods applied in business management. She has 8 years of experience in .NET as a developer, designer, analyst and project manager for major accounts in the areas of power management, telecommunications, health and sports. For the 3 past years she has lead a distributed team in France and in India. Today, Anne-Laure qualifies herself as host and facilitator of communication; certified ScrumMaster, she helps software development teams to build value, with pleasure, with emphasis on quality and promoting the adoption of a sustainable pace. Passionate, she is one of the founders of the Club Agile Rhône-Alpes and participates to the organization of the Agile Tour. She is committed to improving the organization of work of a human rights NGO.

Brian holds a bachelor's degree in software engineering from the École de technologie supérieure. At the beginning of his career, he mainly worked in the biomedical and military industries. During this period, he created and developed user interfaces for real-time systems as well as drivers to communicate with hardware. He mainly uses C++ and .NET. He also carried out many projects in Java. In September 2007, during his last military project, he was initiated to Agile development. Since then, he believes that Agile processes are the most effective and easiest to use. Therefore, he is pleased to have joined Pyxis in March 2008.
Christian has over 19 years of experience in computer science. He acts as ScrumMaster, TTD and Agile coach, developer on a R&D team and more. Over the years, Christian has touched many different aspects of software development. His vast experience in the development of back-office and Web applications of different sizes and complexity makes him someone who is able to understand and balance the forces at stakes in every development effort. Without leaving completely the technical side, over the last years he perfected the soft skills that help development teams come together. People who work with Christian appreciate his openness, his patience and pedagogy and also his sense of equity.
Dominic has over ten years of experience in information systems development and support. Throughout his career, he gained experience in business intelligence (BI) and .NET development. He has a sound knowledge of Microsoft's product suite. Always in search of new ways to better do things, he has been interested in Agile methods for a few years now and is a certified ScrumMaster. Lately, he carried out a major data warehouse project for Télébec, a subsidiary of Bell Canada, in order to help them reach success in Business Intelligence. His active participation to projects and commitment to his profession allow him to markedly contribute to all projects in which he takes part. Finally, given his ability to rapidly learn new concepts, he can easily integrate new work teams.

With a doctoral background in applied mathematics, Emmanuel has been working since 12 years in scientific software development. He is interested in oriented-object programming, software usability, and agile engineering practices. He thinks that Agile approaches are sinks of sustainable productivity as they help us better meet clients' goals and increase the fun of people working as a team, while taking into account the constraints of organizations. Certified ScrumMaster since 2005, Emmanuel acts as an Agile coach and trainer.
Emmanuel works as a team coach, facilitator, trainer and systems jiggler. He helps software makers to be better at, prouder of, and happier about the work they produce. A regular speaker at many conferences on Agility, Emmanuel also organizes the annual Agile Open France conference. He is one of the founder (and still assiduous member) of the Coding Dojo in Paris. Emmanuel currently focuses his energy and passion on co-learning spaces, in which participants learn from each others.

Eric began writing software on the amazing VIC-20 at the tender age of 13. Almost three decades later, he's still having a blasts! Throughout his career he has acquired numerous valuable skills as a programmer, analyst and project manager and also holds a bachelor's degree in psycho sociology. Eric's wide-ranging experiences come together to form an effective tool box for coaching teams on how to deliver high quality software that answers exactly to the client's needs. As a trainer, ScrumMaster and Agile coach, Eric has had the good fortune to work with motivated individuals and teams from various industries such as gaming, insurance and avionics. Allowing people to take pride in their work is Eric's ultimate goal on the road towards continuous improvement.
Éric is a ScrumMaster (CSP). He helps organizations build attractive workplaces where we can encounter well-beings and results at the same time. Along his career in the software industry which began in 1997, he met with many different technical and business domains that always highlight the human challenge as the key challenge. Éric focuses on relationships within the project teams, on the impact of implementing Agile approaches in organizations, and on continuous improvement of his software building skills. Éric's best motivation is to build working software and see it running in production.
Éric has almost ten years of experience in information technology. His different experiences as a sales manager, project manager, and trainer allowed him to become an expert in the field of customer relationship management (CRM). The management team and the sales and marketing strategy are other facets of his skills. He was also faced with managing change within organizations. His career abroad (South Africa, Benelux, Russia, United Kingdom, North Africa) gives him an open mind and led to the establishment of a commercial offer in line with customer needs and market. Éric holds a master's degree in engineering business products and services and telecommunications from Montpellier Business School (France).
Erik has 9 years of experience in the software industry programming in a range of technologies and industries. His foray into Agility started in 2007 when he joined Pyxis Technologies. He has since become a TDD evangelist, and is continually seeking new ways to improve the software development process and the value it brings to our clients. He has a bachelor's degree in computer science, and has experience developing with C, Java, Csharp, Groovy and Python.
Ernst acts an Agile and technical coach in several teams adopting Scrum or Agile practices. As a ScrumMaster, he helped several teams deliver high quality software systems on J2EE or .NET platforms. Ernst also developed and taught courses on Agile practices such as Test-Driven Development, Agile Modeling, and Domain-Driven Design. He has over 10 years of experience in developing business applications on Java and .NET platforms.
François founded Pyxis in 2000. His passion being software development, he wishes to participate to software development projects getting outstanding results and where the quality of life and personal satisfaction of all stakeholders are maximized. He acts as a coach, trainer, facilitator and senior consultant for organizations who wish to increase their software development productivity and adopt an Agile approach. In July 2002, with a few colleagues, he founded the Agile Montréal User Group, an interest group on Agile software development approaches, where he regularly conducts presentations.
With over thirteen years of experience in the computer science, François participated to the development of numerous systems using advanced technologies in areas as diverse as finance, human resources, health, sales (tickets) and cybermarketing. His ability to understand and master new technologies quickly and put them into practice allows him to participate actively in the achievement and maintenance of an n-tier Java development platform. His previous experiences make him greatly appreciate today's Agile methods.
François has over 14 years of experience in IT. He took part in many projects for important companies in Quebec, including the Commission de la construction du Québec, Wal-Mart, the ministère de la Famille, Aon consulting and Université de Montréal. Over the years, he developed great skills in software development and analysis based on Agile methods. François joined Pyxis in 2006. Since then, he has been a great contribution to the success of an IT system development project for Université de Montréal's Centre de soutien aux études et de développement de carrière of Services aux étudiants (career development and student support center of student services) and of GreenHopper, an Agile project management software for JIRA.

Holding a bachelor's degree in information technologies from Université de Sherbrooke, Jean-François joined Pyxis in September 2008. He developed software solutions using technologies such as Java, J2EE and WebSphere for almost 6 years for the IBM electronic chips fabric in Bromont. He discovered the virtues of Agile development in 2005 while working on a personal project. This passion led him towards expending his knowledge of Lean software development; knowledge which he quickly transferred to his colleagues. Showing open-mindedness and being fond of discussions based on the different aspects of Agility (Agile techniques, development, project management, coaching, etc.), he was both a participant and an attendee at both Agile 2007 et 2008 conferences to further enhance his knowledge and to get the most out of the different speakers and other attendees.

Laurent has two years of experience as an Agile developer. He holds a master's degree in information systems with a specialization in Agile methodologies from Université de Paris X. He joined Pyxis in 2007 after his last internship. He is working for Pyxis in Paris, France. Extremely enthusiast, Laurent is constantly learning new frameworks, design methodologies, and Agile engineering practices to improve his skills. He participated in many JIRA plug-in projects like the GreenPepper plug-in, the Cisco assignee calendar plug-in, and the GreenHopper plug-in. Recently, he took part in an ambitious project for Orange Online Multimedia Services France.
With over 10 years of experience in software development, Louis is specialized in end-to-end development of software solutions on the Windows platform. As a Microsoft Certified Application Developer, he feels right at home on the Microsoft .NET framework and is fluent in both C# and Visual Basic. He also has a profound interest in agile software development practices such as Scrum, XP and test-driven development.
Luc is working with .NET technologies since its first beta version and he continues to deepen his knowledge developing applications using ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL). He participated to several big projects during the last seven years. His wide range of skills allows him to be efficient either at designing and developing applications or configuring servers.
Marc-André holds a master's degree in computer science and has been using Java for software development since 1999. He is using Agile methods since 2005. He joined Pyxis in 2005 and has since participated in many large-scale projects with various clients like Astral, the Port of Montréal, Standard Life, TD Insurance and Ericsson as a developer, modeler, and technical coach.
Marie-Eve holds a bachelor's degree of business administration with a specialization in marketing from the Université de Sherbrooke. She joined Pyxis in 2007. She coordinates different activities and events to ensure Pyxis remains the reference in Agile software development in the francophonie. Her previous work experience allowed her to acquire skills in communications.
Marion has over 12 years of experience in accounting, 6 of which as a controller for Pyxis. Previously, she worked for Caméra Expert for 6 years. She was in charge of accounts receivable and cash register management.

Efficient leader and dynamic collaborator, Martin is oriented towards the achievement of results and the professional development of his team members. Martin holds a Master's degree in management sciences (information systems) and a Bachelor of Business Administration (public accounting) from HEC Montréal. He has over 15 years of experience in software development project management, organizational development, and business process optimization. Over the years and currently as Vice-President of Agile Business Intelligence, Martin has successfully participated in several projects with companies from the pharmaceutical, retail, financial and manufacturing sectors.
Mathieu has eight years of experience in development, mainly using Java. As an experienced manager, Maurice is recognized for his leadership and his skills in communication and coaching. Through out his career, he worked in operation management and in human resources. He has been in charge of projects of various sizes and has had lead numerous change initiatives. Graduate from the University of Montreal in industrial relations as well as an MBA from the University of Sherbrooke, he had the opportunity to make use of his experience as a lecturer for the MBA. In the role of a project lead or as a principal counselor, he has lead organisational transformations, business process re-engineering, training strategy development and he also participated in change management during the implementation enterprise resource planning software such as Peoplesoft and SAP.
At Pyxis, Nathalie is working as a technical writer and translator. She holds a bachelor's degree in translation from the Université de Montréal and has over nineteen years of experience. Right from the beginning, she worked for companies in the IT sector. She joined Pyxis in February 2007.

Nicholas holds a bachelor in software engineering from UQAM and college diploma (D.E.C.) in computer science technology from Cégep Montmorency. For over two years, he worked on development projects at the Canadian Meteorological Centre. He has a special interest for the improvement of engineering practices in the industry; whether it is at the testing, design or analysis level. This passion for continuous self-improvement and learning has led him towards the virtues of Agile software development and the joining of Pyxis in 2008. His current efforts revolve towards Agile Web development and his favorite languages are Java, Python and C#.
Nicolas holds a Master degree in computer science from the école Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Luminy in Marseille (France) and a Bachelor of Science in Computing from Napier University in Edinburgh (Scotland). Specialized in Web technologies and software engineering (Java and .NET), Nicolas likes taking on responsibilities and enjoys quality relationships. In March 2009, he moved to Montréal to join Pyxis. He is currently working on the Urban Turtle product where Agility is his everyday life.

Sami is a passionate senior developer who focuses on Java/J2EE architectural concerns, design and development best practices. Sylvie has over 24 years of experience in software development and process improvement, her chosen field for 13 years. She deploys best practices in organizations from various business areas (banking, insurance, government departments and agencies, telecommunications, military and aerospace, software development firms) and of different sizes (teams of 4 to 200 developers and managers). Holding a bachelor's degree in computer science from Université Laval and a master's degree in software engineering from ETS, Sylvie is currently preparing a Ph.D. in software engineering, also at ETS. She obtained her ScrumMaster certification in 2006. Since then, she deployed Scrum, an Agile approach to requirements and project management, in several organizations. She is interested in quantitative methods for estimating and measuring productivity in a context where the aim is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of development processes. For almost 10 years now, Tremeur is participating in many software development projects in a wide variety of industries. At Pyxis, he is coaching teams in order to help them implement Agile project management approaches. Being a member of the Agile community since 2004 and the founder of the Agile user group in Nantes (2008), Tremeur is an active member of the Montréal Agile community. In fact, he co-organized the Agile Tour 2009 in Montréal.

Vincent has a passion for crafting software. He helps teams and organizations build software that is more useful and more malleable, while being more efficient and have more fun doing it.
Vincent has been an eager promoter of Agile Software Development since he first discovered XP in 2000, and later Scrum in 2002. Holding a diploma of higher studies in information technology for business (DEST in CNAM Paris), Vincent worked in the computer industry for financial institutions, mainly in BNP Paribas. During his career, he always endeavored to make the best of technologies. In his previous role, he acquired a good level of experience in JIRA plug-in development. He made the choice to join Pyxis in order to bring his plug-in (Kaamelot) to another level.
Yvon is a multidisciplinary person and a self-learner. Holding a doctorate degree in physics, he worked as a researcher for more than 10 years studying the effect of radiations on cells by the Monte Carlo simulation to understand and improve their therapeutic usage. Since then, he reoriented his carrier in software development working for a consulting company where he played the role of analyst, architect, and project manager. His quest for better approaches in software development management brought him to Agile methods. It is in this context that he joined Pyxis in 2008.
