Biography
Sylvie is working in software development since 1985 and process improvement, her chosen field since 1996. She deploys best practices in organizations from various business areas (banking, insurance, government departments and agencies, telecommunications, military and aerospace, software development firms) and of different sizes (teams of 4 to 200 developers and managers). Holding a bachelor's degree in computer science from Université Laval and a master's degree in software engineering from ETS, Sylvie is currently preparing a Ph.D. in software engineering, also at ETS. She obtained her ScrumMaster certification in 2006. Since then, she deployed Scrum, an Agile approach to requirements and project management, in several organizations. She is interested in quantitative methods for estimating and measuring productivity in a context where the aim is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of development processes. In addition, she contributes to improving processes productivity and applications quality.
