Professional Scrum Skills Facilitation (PSFS)

Professional Scrum Facilitation Skills (PSFS) is an interactive course designed to help Scrum practitioners develop a state of facilitator, master facilitation skills and learn when and how to select effective techniques in various circumstances. Strong facilitation skills allow better problem-solving, more efficient Scrum events, and better team alignment, which leads to better results.

One of the fundamental principles of Scrum is to entrust problem-solving and decision-making to the Scrum team. The Scrum’s executive creates the conditions for this to happen, and the values of Scrum help to create an environment in which the voice of each Scrum team member can be heard. However, interactions within the team are not always good. Sometimes, team members lose sight of the objectives, disagree entirely and cannot agree. Effective facilitation can guide the team to the desired results.

In this course, participants will learn to become better facilitators to improve interactions with their Scrum teams, stakeholders and customers to strengthen day skills. They will focus on how to adopt facilitation as a position and implement the values of Scrum. Students will approach a series of current scenarios linked to Scrum by applying several facilitation techniques that they can add to their collection of agile practices. They will create and leave with their own “facilitation plan to improve their next team discussion or Scrum event.
